Qualitative Preliminary Approach for the Development of a Sensory Vocabulary for Actinidia arguta Fruits

Actinidia arguta fruits (baby kiwi) have recently been introduced and marketed in Italy under the Nergi® brand. The freshness of maintenance their quality after harvest time influence perception taste sensory attributes for final acceptance by consumer. In this work, we propose to use methods create a vocabulary not yet available two varieties covered brand: cv. Hortgem Rua® Tahi®. check-all-that-apply (CATA) method was performed with 15 trained tasters Sata s.r.l. company (Alessandria, Italy) set were defined through focus group (recruited at DISAFA, University Turin) habitual fruit consumers. results obtained CATA identified different profiles brand, offering opportunity better position communicate characteristics product
